Background:  Four newly installed municipal water pumps with excessive vibration and noise. Vibration levels so severe that two of the four machine trains were not able to operate at all.

The noise emitted from the motors located in the pump house, on the beach, generated significant number of complaints from residents and beach-goers.

OEM and 2 other engineering contracts had failed to remedy this problem.

Vibe.FX Solution:

We tuned the VFD program in a particular way that reduced the audible noise present. This produced a decrease in the energy (G’s) in the motor, resulting in energy savings (power).

The previous G’s present were destructive and destroying bearings and motor components.

All four pumping systems now operate very smoothly and quietly.
